Senior React Native developer, freelance Twenty years in software engineering, ten of them on mobile
I work on mobile apps where mistakes are expensive: a regulated medical device used in Biogen clinical trials, telemedicine at docdok.health, a consumer platform later acquired by TheFork. Currently tech lead on maBible for EMCI, a Bible reading platform on web and mobile, with a corpus of eighteen translations and four million searchable fragments.
Libraries I maintain, shipped in production by a good part of the React Native ecosystem. Around 17k stars between them.
| Library | What it does | |
|---|---|---|
| react-native-gifted-chat | The most complete chat UI for React Native | |
| react-native-country-picker-modal | Country selection modal with flags and search | |
| rn-tourguide | Interactive step by step onboarding tours | |
| rn-pdf-reader-js | PDF reader in pure JS, Expo compatible, iOS and Android |
Architecture decisions, and the migrations nobody else wants to own. Native modules in Kotlin and Swift when the JS side runs out of road. Rust through FFI when the algorithm comes from somewhere else. List and rendering performance. Release pipelines that stop being a monthly incident. On regulated projects, the traceability and validation work that ships alongside the code.
Remote for the past decade, with teams in Israel, Basel, Quebec and across France. Timezones have never been the hard part. My workflow is built around AI tooling I have spent two years tuning for this specific stack, which is why delivery moves faster than the hours would suggest.
