The case of LGBTQ rights in Kurdistan seems essentially the same as at Human rights in the Kurdistan Region. Zhiar Ali seems like a slightly different case, as there's a lot more discussion of Ali's involvement with Pride flags, all cited to Twitter sources that appear to have since been taken down. I think it would make sense to make an effort to search for additional sources about the June 23 Pride flag issue, but ultimately if we can't find RS coverage then none of this content is DUE. signed, Rosguilltalk15:10, 1 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Zemen, at a glance, this seems like an obvious case of WP:OR and improper use of a primary source, but do be mindful not to engage in WP:OUTING; the edit is problematic irrespective of any further conflict of interest on the part of the author so there's no need to go linking people to accounts. signed, Rosguilltalk05:14, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, Rosguill. I completely understand now, and I will absolutely keep WP:OUTING in mind. I honestly wasn't aware of this policy. The main reason I did it was because a similar situation (involving the same user) happened on ckb Wikipedia, so I thought it was normal, and he didn't mind. I hope you understand it was just a misunderstanding on my part. Thanks again. Zemen (talk) 17:58, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Zemen I do mind, to make it clear, and I filed a report against you with arbcom because of it. There is no such "similar situation" happening on ckb wiki. épine♬21:51, 8 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Zemen please stop being so dishonest. The user which you refer to was warned not to engaged in such conduct and that the behavior was not acceptable, so you are entirely wrong, and it is not the first time that you were dishonest either. Making false sock puppetry accusations to get a file deleted on commons first, then openly stating in ckb wiki that you will go on a crusade to have the file deleted, threatening to get me blocked, I can keep going. I think we both know you have zero credibility, and after having been proven wrong so many times, one would think you would actually take a step back and reflect rather than double down. épine♬00:07, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Épine, I haven't seen any warning, and I'm not monitoring talk pages to check for one. As you constantly do in other talkpages, you keep bringing up other projects. This is the English Wikipedia, it runs on its own policies. No one cares what happens on ckb.wp or any other projects. Reliable sources matter here, not other projects, and that is what I follow. I don't want to drag this out and bother Rosguill further, but I'm ready to counter any false accusations made against me. Also, I see calling me 'dishonest' as a violation of WP:CIVIL and WP:AGF, please stop the personal attacks as I told you on your talk page, this is Wikipedia, not your personal playground. Rosguill, Thank you for your time, and I apologize that this section was dragged out. Zemen (talk) 00:48, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Rosguill, epine has started an edit war and reverted my edit again, stating: NOT OR. The flag is used by the community on multiple instances, also linked in the commons deletion discussion you started, your main concern was there were no proof of it's usage, after provided, now it is OR?. To what extent do Commons policies apply to Wikipedia? Aren't they two separate projects that have their own policies? Zemen (talk) 23:06, 8 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
épine, editors are allowed to remove warnings (and most other posts) on their user talk page, see WP:OWNTALK. If they make new doxxing comments on English Wikipedia, having been warned, then there will be consequences, but you don't seem to be asserting that here. signed, Rosguilltalk23:00, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Rosguill I am asserting that the user is under arbcom investigation per my report, and removing the warning given the circumstances is inappropriate as he tries to undermine my opposition to putting out personal information about me regardless of my protest on this matter. épine♬23:03, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
On the sourcing matter, I have added a second source. Removing the file from a section which literally talks about the same exact file, is inappropriate. We cannot set impossible standards for symbols which are underground and repressed on sensitive issues such as queer rights in a hostile country like Iraq. épine♬23:07, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
If there's genuine obstruction, point it out to ARBCOM and they'll take it into account. There isn't anything for me (or any non-ARBCOM admin) to do here, editors are generally allowed to remove any text that they want from their user pages, including their User talk page (also noting that I can't act here as an admin even if there was a relevant admin action, as I am WP:INVOLVED in the related content dispute). signed, Rosguilltalk23:09, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Kansas Bear, that does look...suspicious/concerning, but for better or for worse, given that they seem to be focused on writing forum posts about One Piece on their own user talk page and are struggling to even hit 25 edits, I don't think there's need for admin intervention just yet. If they do hit 500 edits purely based on this nonsense, the case for pulling permissions will be pretty straightforward. In the meantime, I've added protection to Shusha massacre as that's obviously in scope of the ECR for the CT. signed, Rosguilltalk15:17, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I saw that you left a final warning for User:Nandanmwikipedia on their Talk page. I am concerned about this editor's behavior and would be interested in your views.
They were told that they had to declare COI, and responded by blowing this off: User talk:Nandanmwikipedia#November 2025. They have not, as far as I can find, ever dealt with this.
They were warned to stop with the religious language, but have not: WP:Teahouse#Added Tim Berners-Lee Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc link today. That thread is also problematic in other ways. They either do not understand or will not hear why Britannica is not an appropriate external link: they have been previously warned about external links repeatedly in user talk but it's not getting through. They do not understand or will not hear that editing requests go on article talk, not in Teahouse. They are (probably?) trying to get someone to add birthday stuff to Wikipedia to honor an article subject.
They are pushy about trying to get other editors to edit for them (see multiple Teahouse threads). I am not clear they even understand who they're dealing with--they have said several things that imply editors talking to them are employees. They get kind of nasty when balked, though I'm not sure it rises to actionable incivility. (They are also painfully hard to understand, as the Teahouse threads clearly show. It seems to go well beyond language issues.)
I have never started a case at ANI but I wonder if it needs to be done here. I have no connection with them other than trying to answer their Teahouse questions, but they have made a very bad impression there. I'm asking your opinion as you have seen the behavior first-hand. I don't want to bite a relative newcomer, but they are getting on my last nerve, and I also think there is undeclared COI going on.
M kuhner, I think that if there's any further disruption (i.e. in the form of unhelpful edits) an ANI thread or other admin intervention will be necessary. Nandan's responses don't entirely inspire confidence that they understand what they need to do differently, but they do at least express an intent to follow the rules and engage constructively, so I don't think further action is necessary yet. signed, Rosguilltalk13:50, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, not sure if I write to the correct person about it, please tell me who'd I better contact about it instead if I do not (or just pass if to them if it suitable). You're the one, who closed the User:TylerBurden:_NPA,_TALKNO, so I'm trying to ask you first about it: sigmabot broke it during archiving (this link doesn't work now, and content is lost in archive too). Is it something that possible to be fixed? Thanks in advance. ~2026-33770-50 (talk) 01:43, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for bringing this to my attention: the issue appears to have occurred because of an improperly formatted template in this section. I've fixed that error and the page should now render properly. signed, Rosguilltalk13:47, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello Rosguill, good afternoon sir. I've been an NPR member for some time now, and I was wondering if it's possible to be granted Page Mover right. This would significantly reduce the workload of R2 requests that need to be reviewed by admins. I know that the request is usually made in the Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Page mover section, however, I haven't yet reached the recommended 3,000 edits and my request will probably be rejected for that reason alone. It would be a great help, of course. If it's not possible, that's no problem at all; it's simply to lighten the load.
I've issued a CT/EE notice and warned them about the problematic editing; while I think it's highly likely that this is in fact the same person as the TA, it is still somewhat plausible that they are not the same person, and either way they don't appear to have received CT notices prior to my issuing one. signed, Rosguilltalk14:24, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
saying that you are trolls that dont have anything better to do in life but just revert articles (even if the edits have sources and citations) is not an insult but the truth, get a life... life is short and dont waste it being a spammer lmao Musikidot (talk) 15:52, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Stormsnsnow, looks like you've already filed a request, so it will be reviewed by me or someone else in due time. At a glance, your AfD match-rate is low, but the fact that basically all of your participation is as the nominator of the discussions is potentially a mitigating factor, as that indicates that you're not padding out your track record with pile-on votes that don't require any actual understanding of policy. Whether you get permissions conferred will likely come down to a review of the quality of your nomination statements. signed, Rosguilltalk19:49, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
About recent restorations of File:Kurdistan LGBT pride flag
Latest comment: 1 month ago12 comments3 people in discussion
Hello Rosguill. Sorry for messaging you again on this matter, but I wanted to reach out to you specifically 'couse you already have full context on this case. I'm concerned about these clear policies issues regarding the recent restoration of the File:Kurdistan LGBT pride flag by user:Epine:
(WP:RS, WP:SPS and WP:PRIMARY) The source Epine mentioned is an online sign-up petition (allout.org) is being used to justify the edits. A self-published activist petition completely lacks editorial oversight; Zhiar Ali is credited as the author of the source, and this exact source is already cited within the article Zhiar Ali!! I would really appreciate your guidance on how to handle this. Thank you.
It seems like the first set of diffs have an asserted justification of new sources being provided, which would be a valid reason to reconsider inclusion.
The files were removed because they did not have a source. The file description does not give any undue weight, it simply states a petition by All Out which features this flag exists, and links to said petition. As it was signed by over 25,000 thousand people and has been around since 2021, I think it is relevant that LGBT+ articles reference it. Per previous comments from this admin, I will continue looking for more sources. épine♬15:19, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Épine My personal editing history is completely neutral and irrelevant to this discussion. I'm interested in vexillology and have uploaded, restored, and participated in discussions regarding numerous different flags on Commons; there is nothing "specific" about my attention to this one. Zemen (talk) 16:19, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also, this flag is not meant for general encyclopedia use, I only intend to use it for my userpage on the Kurdish wikipedia, where it is included in my userboxes. Zemen (talk) 16:22, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Zemen Is that so? Because I see here you created a template using it, which contains text translated literally: "this user is against the mixing of any ideology with the holy Kurdish flag." I do not see a neutral editor when I read this, I see a POV-pusher. épine♬16:25, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Did I ever come to you and ask why you used the word "pride" for the LGBTQ flag? That is my own userpage, no one forced you to look at it. Zemen (talk) 16:35, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Because that is the name of the flag. It's called a Pride Flag. You claim to be neutral while WikiLawyering and throwing policies I did not violate at the wall, trying to say your content dispute is a sourcing issue all the while you hand it to us on a plate that it is actually an ideological crusade. It is rather entertaining if I'm being quite honest. épine♬16:50, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you don't like seeing the word "holy" and believe that removing it solves the problem, please just remove it. Zemen (talk) 17:00, 21 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I would like to request that my South Asian topic ban be lifted. It has now been more than six months since the sanction was imposed. I understand that my actions on the Sati article led to this sanction, and I sincerely regret my mistakes. Looking back, I recognize that my conduct was not appropriate, and I have learned from the experience. Since the ban was imposed, I have not made any edit that violate the restriction. During this time, I have focused on constructive work in other topic areas. I have worked on articles such as Jewish history in Minsk, Phippsaksla, Clerodendrum ridleyi, and Acanthus mayaccanus, as well as improving my drafts and participating in discussions related to biology articles & I tried to interact with other editors in a friendly and constructive manner in discussion and have avoided the disputes that previously caused problems.
When the sanction was discussed, admins indicated that an appeal could be considered after a period of constructive conduct, mentioning a timeframe of around one to three months. Now more than six months have passed... and I believe I have demonstrated that I can follow community expectations without violating sanction and collaborate productively. Chronos.Zx (talk) 13:48, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Chronos.Zx, this seems like an appropriate request. Regrettably, I'm a bit busy off Wikipedia this week and am not sure when I would be able to give this request the attention it merits. I would recommend that you take this to WP:AN or WP:AE for more timely review, otherwise it may be a week or two before I'm able to respond more substantively. signed, Rosguilltalk14:12, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Chronos.Zx, having had a chance to review your edits since the TBAN today, they look constructive and also include several examples of discussing editing disputes with others in an appropriately collegial fashion, so I'm inclined to accept your appeal, effective immediately. No further action is needed on your part at this time. signed, Rosguilltalk19:29, 24 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello Rosguill, it's been some time, hope you're doing well. There are some WP:GSAA and WP:GAMING concerns in regards to Lapahafffe once again. I just told them about it at Talk:El-Gölü, but they feign ignorance about it (despite a similar article created by them being nominated for deletion just a few days ago for WP:GSAA violations, as well as other issues ), which is convenient for them, as they can keep accumulating easy edits by discussing the addition of an Azerbaijani transliteration with another user who is not allowed to edit WP:GSAA articles either . They have also edit warred in the article .
At Bazaar of Tabriz, they also added a Azerbaijani transliteration by making a revert . Similar revert at Safavid Iran . Same at Tabriz meatballs. And lots of edits and comments in Dahnama. All of these diffs are also related to the afromentioned new user. Overall, most of Lapahafffes edits in July, June and May seems to have been related to WP:GSAA, if only mildly.

Hi @Rosguill. Your continued work of updating NPPSG is second-to-none. Just a note about this. The discussion I opened at RS/N, now archived, resulted in only two replies, one being a reply from myself to that reply. I don't think putting an opinionated outlet under reliable is an accurate reflection of what happened. No consensus was achieved. This should be removed entirely or at the very least put under NC. Courtesy pinging @ActivelyDisinterested for their take on this. We have to be quite careful about how we interpret consensus, as this will end up affecting how the cite plugins (of which I help maintain), marks them. 11WB (talk) 20:04, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I had completely missed your reply at RSN, sorry about that. No opinion on how this is rated on NPPSG, but I don't see why they wouldn't be reliable for the attributed opinion expressed in their shows. Reliability is a separate matter than if those opinions are due inclusion in an article. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested«@» °∆t°20:23, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
No worries on not replying, it's a busy noticeboard and I'm aware you are very active in most discussions there. The TalkTV thread was more for getting a second opinion over an actual established consensus. Talk is limited to radio and television broadcasts, as they don't have a website where they publish articles. Attribution from their YouTube uploads is probably fine, and was what I assumed was acceptable anyway. 11WB (talk) 20:29, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
11WB, thanks for catching that. I distinctly remember assessing that discussion as "no consensus" regarding its general reliability and must have grabbed the wrong section of the page. I agree with your assessment. signed, Rosguilltalk22:08, 5 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Rosguill, how have you been? Hilandarion was edit warring for a few days on Albanian Tower. After I warned them about edit warring and opened a tp discussion , they resorted to canvassing at WikiProjectSerbia while also making personal attacks . Should the canvassing comment be removed? Ktrimi991 (talk) 16:32, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Ktrimi991, at the moment I think Vacant0's response, politely redirecting Hilandarion to the right place and conduct, seems like an appropriate response here, and I would wait to see what Hilandarion does next before taking any action. signed, Rosguilltalk16:39, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Agreed. I was concerned that someone could see the canvassing message and join the reverting cycle, but so far 5 days later no one has done so. Thank you for your response, cheers, Ktrimi991 (talk) 20:01, 11 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hey Rosguill, about this edit you had made, it left some sources orphaned, specifically parts about the extensive report which was later incorporated in other reports. What is the reason you stripped the article of those sources/text specifically? épine♬23:17, 9 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Épine, with the exception of the Twitter sources (which are WP:UGC) and the article written by Zhiar Ali, none of these sources that I could see refer to Ali, and thus are not DUE for inclusion in his biography. What justification is there for including them? signed, Rosguilltalk16:43, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Cool! Thanks for spotting that, although I am certain I could not have included them for no reason, I think the context around some of the removals can be salvaged and put in Human rights in the Kurdistan Region possibly, especially the Baghdad Pride flag incident. épine♬17:02, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Cool, and as for this one? I do not see why it was removed. It is written by the subject for Rasan, a well known LGBT+ organization of the 2010s. Is it not relevant that it is mentioned? And I see that the report of Madre references this organizational report, which is why it was included. The claim was it was cited by a third party org as per the madre ref. (research ref here) épine♬17:07, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
The issue is that Zhiar Ali is the author of that piece, so it would only be WP:DUE if a secondary source draws attention to it. If it was a particularly significant work it might be relevant to include in a selected bibliography, but a blog post that provides rather routine reporting about queer rights for a queer rights organization seems like a bit of a stretch for inclusion. signed, Rosguilltalk17:14, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I see your point, but isn't the fact that it was referenced by an official madre human rights report make it notable for inclusion? I remember now clearer, the earlier context around the Baghdad pride flag (while the sources do not strictly mention Zhiar Ali) was to satisfy WP:V and were context for the report in question. épine♬17:18, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Well, then you'd first need to establish Madre's reliability and/or significance, and assess the prominence of that report in particular (the citation as written does not clarify whether the report was published, or simply internal, etc.). There's currently no Madre (organization) article, and coverage seems scarce online, although I was able to find some results on Google Scholar (, ). signed, Rosguilltalk17:33, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Would you kindly help me do this appropriately? I do not know how to exactly approach this. I thought citing the source and recounting what had happened exactly as it did is the right way to write. épine♬17:43, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm essentially asking for two things: 1) I would want to see a clearer explanation of where/how the Madre report was published; right now that's essentially just a link to what is essentially a random slide deck in the bowels of their website, the report itself doesn't clarify where/when/why it was published or who reviewed it, for all we know it was an intern's presentation (it doesn't help that Madre itself does not appear to have preserved the report at its original link). Anything you could find of Madre announcing publicly that this was being published (and/or clarifying its authorship) would be helpful in my view. 2) Evidence of RS treating Madre as an important/authoritative/reliable organization. To be honest, the Meridians link above already puts me most of the way there to being convinced of Madre's relevance (although other editors may be more insistent on additional, similar or superior coverage); I haven't been able to access and review Handbook of Feminist Governance beyond search result snippets that suggested that it may be relevant. signed, Rosguilltalk17:54, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, this gave me a clear direction. Two things:
Madre has held Special Consultative Status with ECOSOC since 1995 (UN list). More relevantly, the UK Home Office's 2021 CPIN on Iraq (already cited in the article) relies on a Madre-led coalition report throughout its country information section. Madre also co-files with UN treaty bodies and the ICC alongside CUNY Law's Human Rights and Gender Justice Clinic. Combined with your Meridians find, I think RS treatment of Madre as an established org is solid.
No standalone press release that I could find, so I won't overclaim there. But the baseline assessment isn't an isolated upload: it's the first output of a named Madre project ("Documentation of Threats and Violence Against At-Risk and Marginalized Groups in Iraq"), and a later "Interim Report" under that same project is cited by Madre/OWFI in a joint UN Human Rights Committee submission (fn. 12).
Given that, would you support restoring a narrower sentence, e.g.: "The report was cited in a December 2020 baseline assessment by the international organization Madre"? épine♬18:05, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I don't think that edit follows what I was suggesting--I was suggesting adding a "Selected bibliography" section and listing that article as a one-line entry: Ali, Zhiar. Conditions of LGBT+ people of Iraq since may 17, 2020. Rasan, 7 June 2026. Archive link. This was not an invitation to re-include a whole lot of other reporting on the flag incident. signed, Rosguilltalk19:39, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've gone ahead and done that. It may be better for any further discussion of the article to be taken up in a new section at Talk:Zhiar Ali, as that way other editors coming to the article later will be able to follow the discussion, rather than it being lost in my disconnected user talk page archive. signed, Rosguilltalk19:56, 10 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
User: KhndzorUtogh has been repeatedly scrutinizing my edits in an attempt to bring them under ECR restrictions and use those restrictions as a weapon against me, which constitutes Wikihonding You can review my edits yourself. Since being warned, my edits have been limited to articles related to Türkiye or Turkish cuisine. Erdemozcantr (talk) 13:27, 11 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Unsourced? What is unsourced about that? The article itself said that cig kofte is also a part of armenian cuisine and that Its made in armenia. The onyl one who is doing unsourced edits is you literially removing information from cig köfte that wasnt added by me, but instead already preexisted on the page and sourced by inline citations. Trying to remove images of armenian cig kofte in the armenia section of the article and trying to remove references to Armenia. For sevan nisanyan, my description is more accurate, It is not unsourced, It is literially his background. Turkish-Armenian implies that he is of partly turkish and partly armenian ethnic origin, while my version clarifies the factual version that he is of Armenian descent, but was born in Turkey. For 3rd, the image to Walnut Sujuk I added was just seen by me as more demonstrative of how it is prepared, but 2kbfloppadisk already resolved this by adding the image to the preparation section. Stop acting in what I perceive to be bad faith and engage normally. Klöterisch (talk) 13:42, 11 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I honestly didn’t include all of your edits. You also appear to be deliberately removing the term “Turkish” from articles about foods or people. I’m sorry, but I don’t see any good faith in that behavior. Even though I stated that Urfa is not located in the Armenia region, you insisted on making this edit and irrelevantly, brought up “genocide” rhetoric. On Wikipedia, people are identified by the country they are a citizen of, regardless of their ethnic background such as German-Turk, Canadian-French, French-Armenian or American-Italian! Erdemozcantr (talk) 14:03, 11 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Where did I remove „Turkish“ when there was a source mentioning anything about Turkey, or Turks? Also, I think you dont understand my point. When I say I keep Armenia It is because It is part of Armenian cuisine as the article states, the article had that before any of us came and I also reasoned by saying that Urfa was also populated by Armenians before the Turks genocided them, only as an explanation for why there arent any Armenians in Urfa anymore and why Armenians are relevant, although they arent present in urfa anymore, since It seemed like you tried removing references to armenia by restricting armenians to the territory of the republic of armenia, not to mention, Armenia would be included regardless, since It is also populat in the borders of Atmenia and the bracket just say region and state, aka in which countries it is part of their cuisine I believe. Now as for the article about, as youd say, „Turkish Armenians“ calls them Armenians in Turkey and not „Turkish Armenians“, so I just felt that this phrasing would be more accurate, but that isnt a big problem, we can just ask a 3rd party to decide, either way is possible. Klöterisch (talk) 15:16, 11 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hey Rosguill, user: Klöterisch continues to make disruptive edits and add sources that are unrelated to the article. This includes pages that are protected. Erdemozcantr (talk) 20:16, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
First off, Im an extended-confirmed user, I can edit these articles, thats what this status entails. The criteria for editing these articles is being extended confirmed and that is what Iam. Secondly, what is disruptive about adding images, moving sections of text, adding more to the history of spiced yoghurt condiments (tzatziki and yes, central asian turks who also amde yoghurt turks didnt call it cacig either, when we talk about history of tzatziki we talk about the history of seasoned and herb combined-yoghurt). Then, for sevan nisanyan, the links used in that article were ambiguous links that didnt link to the actual articles they should be referencing, like „Armenian“ linking to a miscellaneous page. On top of that, I always gave an edit summary as to why I edited what I edited. If you want to contest that, take it to the talk page instead of evading a discussion and trying to complain to another user. Klöterisch (talk) 20:58, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also, I wanna see you defend the askeran fortress being built by a collaboration of melik shanazar and panah ali khan, you know why that doesnt work? Since they were the ones who build the shusha fortress, not the askeran fortress. I simply removed that mistake. Klöterisch (talk) 21:00, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Especially regarding sevan nisanyan, a user literially added a link to a disambiguation page about „Armenian“ and „Turkish“. Ofcourse I have to remove that and return it to the status quo as an extended confirmed user to prevent corruption and bad editing of a page. The main goal is to ensure wikipedias quality. Klöterisch (talk) 21:05, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
You are not only adding irrelevant sources, but you are also removing or relocating references in those sources that explicitly identify the subject as Turkish, Azerbaijani or Turkic. Having over 500 edits does not give you the right to make disruptive changes. Especially in light of your block history, it is evident that this pattern of behavior has continued. Erdemozcantr (talk) 21:09, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
First off, proove how the sources are irrelevant, second of, show where I removed information that a source called Turkish, Azerbaijani, or Turkic? If I remove anything It is because no source mentioned it. If a source mentioned It, I dont remove it. Then establish how anything I made was disruptive, and again, wheter you try to reduce extended confirmed status to just doing 500 edits, It still is the status I have and which is the reason I edited these articles, since I knew I was allowed to, as that is the criteria for editing these articles. Lets take tzatziki for example, I couldnt edit it before reaching extended confirmed status, as It was restricted, after that I could, since I gained that status. This is just how wikipedia works. And as your very first action, you re-added the exact same sources previously inserted by users who were identified as sockpuppets, using the very same wording. Yes, thats quite an interesting coincidence. Erdemozcantr (talk) 21:19, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
„Interesting coincidence“, or maybe I just saw the infromation on yoghurt page and checked the editing histories of the page, including information I deemed to be relevant to be included in the article, I really dont care who added the information originally, only what It says is relevant and instead of trying to talk around the issue, I ask you again to establish how what I added is wrong, or irrelevant. Want to elaborate? Klöterisch (talk) 21:24, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
And again, you cant talk about block history. You have the same amount of blocks and you refuse to stop this pattern of behavior. A block is not there to discourage you from editing wikipedia, It is there for showing you did something wrong and to not replicate that. Ive learned from my block and only edited such articles againa fter reaching extended confirmed status, knowing I have enough experience and a „legal“ (in wikipedia terms) right to do it then. Klöterisch (talk) 21:16, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Can you bring forth any arguments now? What Ive seen is that you make baseless accusations, fail to substantiate them and infact dont even try to, and act in bad faith. Again, If you disagree with my changes bring forth arguments as to why you do, It seems to me that you dont even want to engage in dialogue. Klöterisch (talk) 21:31, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you look at the talk page of the Tzatziki article, you can understand the issue. Our topic is Tzatziki, not yogurt or yogurt-like oxygala. And your edits are obvious, there is no groundless accusation here. You continue to make disruptive edits. Having 500+ edits does not mean you have the right to make disruptive edits. Erdemozcantr (talk) 22:04, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Oh is that so? Well why did you then include the Central asian tradition of yoghurt soups and condiments although they werent called tzatziki? Maybe because they are predecessors of it? You know why I included oxygala? Since as the sources say it also was prepared with olive oil, herbs and seasonings. Thats as close to tzatziki in a pre-american discovery age as It gets and It is far more similar to tzatziki than a generic „central asian yoghurt soup tradition“ that isnt elaborated upon will be. Nevertheless, I left both in to show a nuanced picture of tzatzikis (spiced and herb-infused yoghurt-condiment) history amd again, establish what I made was disruptive, I still dont see any arguments for it! Klöterisch (talk) 22:51, 20 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thats pretty irrelevant. The sources about turkic also dont say it was known as tzatziki in central asia, it says that it resembles earlier central asian traaditions, aka the concept of yoghurt based condiments. What is the oxygala section for? To show that greeks also used yoghurt-based condiments and that during antiquity. It is not about the modern tzatziki, It instead is about the concept of greeks using yoghurt based condiments before the mdoern tzatziki emerged, just like central asian turks used yogurt-based „soups“ in medieval times. We agree that this is an underlying content dispute, and the key to resolving it is to move past the conduct to addressing the content issue. We will see whether they state concisely what they want. If they will state concisely what they want in the article, then we can formulate an RFC. I've given them the usual instructions and asked the usual question. GrinningIodize, as a general rule, I don't honor special requests to consider permissions. I will continue to review requests in the backlog when I have time, and I or another admin will address your request in good time. As a word of advice, while eagerness is appreciated, to be honest I think that your request here and opening this related thread, could be read as impatience, which is not a good quality for the role. signed, Rosguilltalk13:37, 15 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
Iseult, I'm not sure I've ever seen someone get autoconfirmed pulled for gaming, given the very low bar. I think that their confusing edit summary to edit war at Escalator and their generally poor reference work give some cause for concern, but I'd be hard-pressed to sanction them unilaterally at this time without a prior attempt to discuss with them. signed, Rosguilltalk16:57, 18 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

so, you just closed my coin noticeboard thing. which is fine. but i do want to point out in case you misread that the two notices are about two different users. this is not a case of me putting the same user on two different boards and im absolutley not intending to forumshop- i just noticed the pattern of behavior of both at similar times. one seemed like a pov issue and one seemed coi. if you still decide that should be one report or did read it correctly and i misunderstood the situation, thats ok, i just want to make sure youre aware so one doesnt slip thru the cracks. sorry if this isnt the right place to say this im. a bit new. Hello Rosguill, despite my repeated warnings, the user continues to make edits regarding the Safavids. You can review the ANI here; no one has answered yet. Kajmer05 (talk) 14:11, 29 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

I am appealing the topic ban from Indian politics and history from 27 February 2025 that was enforced by you.
Committed to the promises I made last time, I have significantly edited the controversial topics, outside the banned area and haven't caused any issues since.

Hi, wanted to express thanks again for patience at arbitration. Reflecting on it, I think I tend to press too hard on the second of these principles to the detriment of the others. Seems at least that was the core point you were trying to communicate. Figure it's a family thing, but appreciate your nonetheless taking the time to sympathize.

Thank you for your comments. You were right that there has been inadequate discussion. I have closed the case as improperly filed, because the filing editor did not list the other editors. But I also noticed a problem, and that is that the article both states that he died in 1934 at the Swiss border and that he died in 1935 in Switzerland. A statement that he died at the border and a statement he died in Switzerland are not necessarily inconsistent, but he either died in 1934 or in 1935 (or in 1937 in Amsterdam). Do you have any suggestions as to how I should request that the date of death be resolved?
