Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in 2025 United States trade war with Canada and Mexico, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  Sumanuil. (talk to me) 07:48, 1 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Stop with the curly apostrophes and quotation marks and the precomposed ellipsis character ()

[edit]

I saw your placements of curly quotation marks and apostrophes and the precomposed ellipsis character () on Wikipedia pages. Change your device keyboard settings on Smart Punctuation to OFF and the "." shortcut when two spaces to OFF as well. I don't want to see your curly quote marks and the precomposed ellipsis character () again! – ~2026-78104-0 (talk) 20:21, 16 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Burnham

[edit]

Hello Josephguy15! I saw that you added the “Burnham” redirect hatnote to the Andy Burnham page. I agree that it is needed, but first the disambiguation page should be moved. I opened a request for this; see Talk:Burnham#Requested move 21 June 2026. CosdonH (talk) 09:59, 22 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Contentious topics alert for pages relating to Russo-Ukrainian war

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in the Russo-Ukrainian War. Due to past disruption in this topic area, the community has authorised uninvolved administrators to impose contentious topics restrictions—such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks—on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, expected standards of behaviour, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

Additionally, the following restriction(s) apply to this topic area:

  • Only extended-confirmed editors may make edits related to the topic area, though editors who are not extended-confirmed may post constructive comments and make edit requests related to articles within the topic area on article talk pages. Should disruption occur on article talk pages, administrators may take enforcement actions against disruptive editors and/or apply page protection on article talk pages. However, non-extended-confirmed editors may not make edits to internal project discussions related to the topic area, even on article talk pages. Internal project discussions include, but are not limited to, Articles for deletion nominations, WikiProjects, requests for comment, requested moves, and noticeboard discussions.

For additional information, please see the guidance on these sanctions. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
