Was this a correct reversion (please see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Alberto_Bot%C3%ADa&diff=prev&oldid=1366885101)? Last time i checked, we don't write that in pieces ("...is an Albanian-born Greek...") do we? All i do know is that we're still dealing with the banned nuisance who is the title of my message, giving us the business at both Botía and his fiancée that appears in the personal life section!
Again, i apologise to WP if i was in the wrong here. Attentively, have a nice (new) week RevampedEditor (talk) 00:03, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- That wording matches the lede at Eleni Foureira. GiantSnowman 17:46, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
- Fair enough, i'll leave it be then! RevampedEditor (talk) 21:12, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

CS1 error on Hervé Renard
[edit]
Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Hervé Renard, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A generic name error. References show this error when author or editor name parameters use placeholder names, or the name of the newspaper or organisation, instead of the source's actual author or editor name. If no human author is given, the fields should be removed. (Fix | Ask for help). Below are the references causing this error:
- read, Reuters·1 min (4 August 2026). "Ivory Coast reappoint Herve Renard for attempt at repeat of AFCON title". Yahoo Sports.
{{cite web}}:|first=has generic name (help)CS1 maint: numeric names: authors list (link)
- read, Reuters·1 min (4 August 2026). "Ivory Coast reappoint Herve Renard for attempt at repeat of AFCON title". Yahoo Sports.
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 18:27, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
Their edits continue to be very poor to say the least, but i'd thought i'd never come across this again. In Pedro Amador, notice how they REMOVE the source i added for personal details in the infobox (please see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pedro_Amador_(footballer)&diff=prev&oldid=1366692106)! Deadly serious, and again with ZERO words in edit summary to top it!! RevampedEditor (talk) 00:48, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
- Revert, warn, report at WP:AIV - you know this by now. GiantSnowman 05:48, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
Career stats
[edit]Hello GS! Could you please take a look at the career stats section of Álvaro Rodríguez (footballer, born 2004)?
There was no league cup competition while he was playing in Spain. En dash is used under the 'league cup column' in each season he played for Real Madrid, which is logical and widely accepted. However, is it appropriate to use en dash in his 'Real Madrid total' row? Or is it okay to use 0||0 instead? Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/Players isn't really helpful in this. Thanks in advance. TijibaTwix (talk) 08:40, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry! I just visited the talk page of that editor who made the change to know if there have been any discussions about it in the past. Saw you have already warned that editor multiple times and there is an ongoing discussion about it in ANI. TijibaTwix (talk) 09:24, 5 August 2026 (UTC)
