- Hi Airplaneman! I think that the previous 3-year protection was excessive as it was an escalation from 3 months and there was no established long-term pattern. I used pending changes because there were gaps of several days in disruptive editing, such as in 25–29 July. My personal opinion is that indefinite protection would be too much, but people are free to disagree if they feel otherwise. Thanks, Sdrqaz (talk) 04:57, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

Reason: Semi-protection is needed here, and has been for quite some time. This is a high-viewership page (over 1 million per year) subject to frequent vandalism, as you can see in the history of the page. Additionally, thanks to this historical figure's recent prominence in popular culture, many of these edits are clearly unserious and not intended to improve Wikipedia. 🌷Reverosie🌷★talk★ 04:02, 5 August 2026 (UTC)

Autopatrolled[edit]
I have created 35+ articles and intend to continue creating more. I believe my article creation history demonstrates familiarity with Wikipedia's content and sourcing policies, and so I am requesting the autopatrolled right to help reduce workload for New Pages Patrol.LivingLife1976 (talk) 11:25, 1 August 2026 (UTC) LivingLife1976 (talk) 11:25, 1 August 2026 (UTC)
I have created 50+ articles, including one improvment GA: Bishop O'Dowd High School. I have done much recent work at WP:AFC and previous work (10,000+ reviews) at WP:NPP. I believe that my two most recent article Zachary's Chicago Pizza and Thunder Bay 36 Fire is a testament to my well-sourced, well-organized, and well-written articles. I've since been more careful to verify sources match the claims they support, as raised in my previous request. Thanks, CostalCal (talk) 07:07, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
My account has been see's new here, but i am fully and completely more knowledgeable outside the platforms for high quality articles reviewed. Knowledgeable for formatting, reliable sources news and other layout for articles, i am fully understand the policies regarding the articles and other related to this, i am fully happy to be reviewed. Thank you so much. Panecashio (talk) 13:27, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
Hi! I'm here to request permanent autopatrolled rights. I was previously granted a 2-month temporary autopatrolled right back in June, but the period will end on August 11th. In total, I've created over 130 articles for Wikipedia with a focus on biographies of underrepresented individuals, including 10 DYKs, and have brought two articles to GA status. I've also been quite active in the Articles for Deletion procedure and in GA reviewing. I've grown quite familiar with the process of article creation on Wikipedia, and plan to continue creating more articles, so I'd love to get permanent autopatrolled rights. Thank you! I would like to create navigation templates for groups of related articles that currently lack them and use AWB to add those templates where appropriate. I have not created navigation templates before, but I am familiar with Wikipedia’s policies and would take care to review my work and ensure edits are appropriate. I understand if more experience with this type of maintenance work is needed before being granted the permission. If granted, I would use AWB carefully and review each edit before saving. I already have some experience with making changes using semi-automatic tools I build myself with PyWikiBot, but it would be a lot easier if I didn't have to write an entire program each time I want to make new edits. I would use AWB to help me add add navboxes I create to various pages in a category, fix duplicated and deprecated parameters in templates, and test AWB scripts that I may submit BRFAs for as FlammableBot tasks in the future. New page reviewer[edit]
Hi! I'd like to request the New Page Reviewer user right to help reduce the backlog. I have experience with page creations, having created or converted from redirect 122 pages. I've also promoted two articles to WP:GAs, and am frequently active in DYK, in AfD and in GANRs. Jishara (talk) 12:23, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
I previously held the temporary New Page Reviewer permissions for one month, which has now expired. During this time, I used the Page Curation tool to review articles and drafts according to Wikipedia's policies. Since my temporary right has expired, I would like to request full restoration of my permission,so that I may continue to help the community with the backlog. TheGreatEditor024 (talk) 16:37, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
I'd like NPR. I'm extended confirmed and spend time at AfD checking sources and notability. Happy to help with the NPP backlog. EmilyR34 (talk) 03:18, 1 August 2026 (UTC)
hi, as a user with 12,600 global edits (of which +10,000 for the English Wikipedia), 122 articles created (all still existing ;o) , Wikipedia/ Wikimedia Commons image uploads, I would like to receive NPP rights. I have knowledge and experience in WP:AfC, WP:AfD, WP:CSD. Thanks for your consideration. Haggis MacHaggis (talk) 11:54, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
I would like to request New Page Reviewer rights to help the community reduce the massive backlog of unpatrolled articles [en.wikipedia.org, en.wikipedia.org]. I have spent a lot of time learning the notability guidelines (WP:N) and verifiability policies, and I want to use my time to ensure new articles meet Wikipedia's standards. Thank you Panecashio (talk) 16:06, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
I have been on Wikipedia since the last 2 years and have edited pages related to various disciplines, for example nuclear power, history, politics, etc. During this process, some conflicts have occurred with other editors, which I have attempted to heal, have recently issued invitations to numerous editors to co-operate in building Draft: Rig-Veda-Sanhita, The Sacred Hymns Of The Brahmans, a page on the edition of the Rigveda by F. Max Müller. I have also been the Pioneer author of articles such as Bharat Small Modular Reactor, Shivajirao Patwardhan, Sharavathi Pumped Storage Hydropower Project. I am also working on Draft: Partial meltdown of Leningrad unit 1 and Chernobyl unit 1 and more debated Draft: Sanjay Kumar Manjul. So as to improve my contributions to the encyclopedia, I would like to make a kind request to the admins to grant me this permission. Thank you. IND123456 (talk) 18:11, 3 August 2026 (UTC)

Pending changes reviewer[edit]
I am requesting the pending changes reviewer permission to assist with maintaining the quality of articles on English Wikipedia. My contributions have primarily focused on expanding and improving articles by adding reliable, independent sources, improving references, and organizing content in accordance with Wikipedia's content policies. 0ximjub43r (talk) 22:12, 27 July 2026 (UTC)
I am familiar with Wikipedia and its guidelines; occasionally come across pending changes I'd like to review. MSWS (talk) 03:18, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
Reason for requesting pending changes reviewer rights I would like to be able to review edits that are on pending changes pages, as well as unprotected pages. I have 900 edits now, which a good number of them are anti-vandal edits. I also feel that I have a good knowledge on Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and I feel I could use that knowledge on pending changes pages as well as unprotected pages. MathMan4 (talk) 06:03, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
I would like to review pending changes encountered during recent edits patrol. I am familiar with Wikipedia's content policies. Mascius (talk) 18:28, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
In my recent changes patrols, I semi-frequently come across pending changes. If the changes are vandalism, I revert them, but I would also like the ability to accept good pending changes while I'm at it. I already have rollback, extended confirmed, and over 1.6k edits. I also have read and am familiar with the relevant policies. FlammablePizza (talk) 21:20, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
I would like to have pending changes reviewer rights, because I occasionally come across pending changes that I am interested in accepting/not accepting on the recent changes page. I have experience with the necessary policies from actions like patrolling recent changes, writing articles that go through the AfC process to get accepted, and DyK and GA participation. Rollback[edit]
I would like to request Rollback rights. My last request was on 18 May. According to previous advice, I have tried to follow a clear workflow, including issuing warnings and reporting Vandalism, Block evasion, and Disruptive editing at AIV, RFPP, and AN/EW. In addition, I use Twinkle for warnings, reports, and reverts. AriuCH (talk) 18:27, 2 July 2026 (UTC)
I've recently been using SWViewer and Twinkle to revert vandalism, so this permission would be very useful for me. I'm already very familiar with how it works, as I already have this permission on other Wikimedia projects. -- 🐦🔥 Aws 💬 Talk 14:23, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
I would like to request Rollback permissions firstly in order to make use of tools like Huggle & AntiVandal. Secondly rollback permissions will allow me to increase the speed of my workflow as most of it consists of RC patrolling edits by unregistered & new accounts. My contribution history demonstrates that I have multiple months of RC Patrol experience and no history of edit warring. At the time of writing this I have 656 live edits of which 220 are in the Main namespace and 262 are in the User Talk namespace, this shows my track record of consistently notifying editors when reverting their edits. Vydrakk (talk) 10:03, 15 July 2026 (UTC)
I would like to request my Rollback rights. My previous request on June 15 was declined because I was blocked for making disruptive edits. Since I'm autoconfirmed, I use Twinkle to revert the edits which was vandalized by the IPs (or later TAs). Thomasfan1916[built buses?] 20:15, 23 July 2026 (UTC)
I am requesting permanent rollback rights after a 1 month trial in the past, as well as my recent 3 month trial. Over the course of the past few months, I have served as a CVUA instructor, and have continued using antivandalism tools like Wikishield and CVPI to prevent vandalism from infecting the wiki. 「Norellia.sh」(talk) 08:29, 26 July 2026 (UTC)
I would like to request rollback rights. I check the recent changes page a couple times a day and I use Twinkle currently to revert vandalism. I have over 200 mainspace edits as well as extended-confirmed permissions. I always use warning templates after reverting edits and make reports to AIV when necessary. Rollback would help me look through recent changes much more effectively with tools such as Interceptor or WikiShield. If not permanent, a month-long trial run of rollback would also work, so that I could reapply eventually. Bungle491 (talk) 06:27, 28 July 2026 (UTC)
I have antivandalism experience and I am requesting rollback permissions to be better equipped to fight vandals. My track record shows that I'm good at differentiating between vandalism and good faith edits, and responding accordingly. - Otherwise (Talk?) 02:50, 29 July 2026 (UTC)
Reason for requesting rollback rights I have 900 edits now, which a lot of them are reverting vandalism and ensuring pages follow Wikipedia's quality guidelines. I feel that being able to rollback pages/edits will help me ensure that Wikipedia's quality standards are being met, especially when a user has made multiple poor-quality edits. MathMan4 (talk) 05:57, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
Reason for requesting rollback rights, I mainly edit reality shows and there are constantly fan edits. I have to revert in most cases to stable one but it unfortunately also includes some good edits. Overall, extra hard work. Rollback will definitely help me. :) Tenshi Uisu (talk) 16:05, 30 July 2026 (UTC)
Been on wp for almost a year now with 5000 edits, already use Twinkle on a regular basis and would be useful when I'm reviewing pages. Fortek67 (talk) 12:13, 31 July 2026 (UTC)
I would like to request rollback rights as it will help me fight vandalism. I currently use Twinkle and I would like to use tools such as CVPI to revert vandalism quicker. Alpha Beta Delta Lambda (talk) 22:00, 2 August 2026 (UTC)

Template editor[edit]
Hi. I am requesting TE rights so I can make edits to template-protected template faster. I have numerous (over 5) template requests, of which I believe around 5 have been accepted, and have made over 3 sandbox edits. My main template edite are those which help readability on Dark Mode while minimally affecting light mode, such as my series of edite to Wdefcon templates ({{Edit COI/backlog}}, {{AfC information}}, etc.). With TE, I would be able to make more of these, alongside others. Axolitl (talk | contribs) 22:49, 14 July 2026 (UTC)

Hello! My bot CutlassBot is applying the {{Deprecated archive}} template (recently protected). I’d like template editor permission while the bot is doing its run to apply the template so that I can handle any issues that come up for example, I have one change request pending at Module talk:Deprecated archive. I don’t intend to change any other high risk templates during this run. This is my first template so I don’t meet the guideline criteria. Alternatively, maybe we remove the protection from the module, but I think it’s lower risk to grant me the editor privileges for 3 months. Thanks for considering! I want this permission to help support my anti-vandalism work, and find potential sockpuppets of multiple TAs. I also understand the relevant policies of WP:TAIVWikiediter2029 (talk) Nosey? Stalk My edits 11:30, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
I (like everyone else here) would like to request TAIV for anti-vandal work! I deal with a lot of vandalism, and would like to be able to identify socks better. WikipediholicRat (talk) 23:56, 3 August 2026 (UTC)
Requesting temp account IP viewer for counter-vandalism and to spot disruptive editors/socks. I have experience dealing with vandalism and other disruption. I understand the TAIV policy and will not share IPs publicly. ~2numforice~ (climb/wavedash) 03:11, 4 August 2026 (UTC)
For anti-vandalism and anti-spam work. I have read and will follow the relevant policies. MrOllie (talk) 17:16, 4 August 2026 (UTC)

"Do you want to take a survey?"
[edit]On Feb. 12, 2005, I did a random pages survey. Out of 100 random pages, only 1 was a U.S. town. That's progress. Three towns in the UK, 1 in Spain and 1 in Portugal also turned up. Overall biographies were the largest category at 22%, followed by geography with 15% total. Then Lists at 7%, Disambiguation pages at 6%.
On Feb. 24, 2006, I repeated the 100 random page survey, this time getting 5 U.S. towns. Overall, geography had 26%, biography 21%, fiction 9%, music 4%, colleges 4%, lists 3% and disambigs 4%. Clearly geography and biography are our largest areas. Music, science and business scored less than I expected. Non-individual History was hardly discernable.
Even by Feb. 2005, 100 out of almost 500,000 was not statistically significant but was as much as I had patience for.
