Template parameters[Edit template data]

Parameter		Description	Type	Status
article_id	article_id	article id from the URL	Number	required
links	links	Whether to wiki link the journal name and publisher. Used on pages that have multiple AAJ sources where only the first source reference will contain wiki links. Suggested values off	String	optional

• The parameter |article_id= must be specified.
• Parameters |journal=, |publisher=, |url= of {{cite journal}} will be ignored as these are fixed values supplied by the template.
• Unnamed parameters are not supported
• The template takes all parameters that {{cite journal}} accepts, e.g., |title=, |access-date=
