The Falcon naming convention is an in-progress naming convention (potentially to be renamed) for a mini-suite of personal site software and tools.

The general theme is within the context of the Wikipedia:Scientific Revolution historical period.

Components

The overall theme is a bit focused on the primary component, and I'd like to rename it slightly broader. β€” Tantek Γ‡elik

  • pixelated black glider icon on a white background Falcon β€” a trained fast-flying animal to take a post from the author, deliver it promptly to their indieweb site, syndicate it out to other destinations as well, and (eventually) backfeed any responses from those destinations back to the author
  • Whistle β€” URL shortener, something to issue a short but clear call for a falcon to retrieve a post and deliver it
  • small pixelated black glider icons on a white background Eyases β€” testing content limitations of silo destinations e.g. @Eyasses
  • ...

Related but not well named:

  • backwards face pixelated glider on a white background Falcon test β€” a mere prefix name for Falcon test runs, a test account e.g. @falcontest
