Björn Stierand is planning to:

  • ✅ Cheat his way in by adding the missing footer to his website again, but actually he already fixed this yesterday :)
  • ✅ Access the health data collected by his smart Google devices and play around with them
    • Got access to Google Health data via Google Health API (which was a bit of a struggle to set up with all the OAuth configuration involved)
    • tried to display exact health data on my website, but I don't think I will follow through with this (as its quite private data and nobody besides myself really cares about it)
    • Now I want to change my profile picture according to my daily readiness score
    • Works on build time for now, but I want to make this more dynamic
    • Had a look at Gadgetbrigde (thanks for the recommendation), but doesn't seem to support my device
    • Reactivated Health Sync app on my phone to move data to https://intervals.icu which has a much nicer REST API (and seems to be a more reliable API provider than Google tbh)
  • ✅ Added site build date to footer (cause I always stuggled to see if my current changes were already deployed on my live site because of the Obsidian --> Github --> Vercel workflow)
  • Dabble into accessing the reading logs of his comics and make them available on his website

Philip Saa is planning to:

    • Add download link to ics file for specific event on the NextEventBanner

Demos started roughly at 16:00 local time.

Max

  • Has been working on photo gallery on his website
  • Allows use to skip with arrow keys
  • There are several options to lay out the page, like a single featured image, a side-by-side image, images layered on top of each other
  • Mobile views still not yet sorted, but happy with desktop views
  • Dynamic display of images done on backend Kirby with layout (columns), alignment, and sizing settings
    • Can select between several different options

Tantek

  • Worked on a couple of things
  • Easy task: updated https://tantek.com/daylists page to include all of the posts from May
    • Favourite in May: trad goth video game music
    • Written with manual HTML
  • Worked on photo grid
    • Home page mini photo grid embed is the same
    • https://tantek.com/photos now has a link on his website homepage from the mini embed
    • Page is cleaned up, has even number of images in the grid at any time
    • Works well on mobile devices
    • Demoing with responsive design mode emulation: number of rows/columns in grid changes
    • Went from prototype after IWC Berlin 2025 to being good enough to be live today!

Tilman

  • https://tilman.me/feedroll -- made this during the session
  • "Like a blog roll, but with working web feeds."
  • Has introduction to web feeds, and a demo below with 11 feeds that Tilman curated
  • Heavy on white men right now
  • Shows bio from each blogger on the left, and most recent five items from a web feed on the right
  • Page is static HTML file

Sven

  • Imported photos from Mastodon, specifically Bloomscrolling posts instead of doomscrolling :)
  • Build importer that converts the images into a specific format
  • Thinking about how to change the image layout
  • Works really well on mobile since the pictures were taken on a phone, and are thus vertical; experience isn't as developed on desktop yet.
  • May experiment with vertical pictures next to each other, thinking about aspect ratios

James

  • His website is supposed to display the pride flag in pridemonth. it now does it since today :D
  • Worked on a bookshelf page.
    • Was going to list all books read, but now written a more general page, not too comprehensive, just genres with some examples?
    • Comprehensive style list for books to keep up with what he has read.
  • Made an indiewebcamp page listing all blogposts from/about indiewebcamps and links to more events
  • Artemis is a feed reader James created
    • For Youtube following, removes title after | pipe symbol to clean up feed
    • Artemis can now follow album releases from artists via Wikipedia
  • Tried to follow Tanteks daylists page, but it didn't handle posts wihtout URLs, now fixed

  • Worked on photo page

    • Sidebar lets you see different photos; work needs done to make dimensions consistent
    • Effect when hovering over logo shows the text moving with animation
    • There is a "bouncy" effect when hovering over

Zegnat

  • Updated headshot on website
    • Nora took headshot and edited the background
  • Updated website with a short summary of work experience, which was previously mainly on LinkedIn
  • Had a vision for a website redesign; spent all the rest of the day on that
    • Inspired by Joschi's old website with profile photo on left
  • As you scroll, you see designs with different themes: Google Contacts, Facebook, LinkedIn, Wikipedia
    • Wikipedia page lists "Not important enough for a Wikipedia page" :)
  • Added attribution for Nora taking the headshot, from icon set that was used, at the bottom of the Wikipedia page.

Uma

  • Released website today!
  • One page for now, completely new things, inspired by the idea of doing something fun on Create Day, and the last two days
  • Added an exercise on the website about the nervous system
    • Heartbeat is calculated by clicking the beat for 10 seconds, it will get the BPM by multiplying by 6
    • A second "widget" helps you visulize breathing
    • Third widget allows user to record the key of their voice, showing a live visualisation of the resonance and the frequency in Hz
    • This calculates your resonance signature with visualizations
    • Decided the fonts and styles before this IWC but had help from AI to help complete the more technical tasks

Joschi

  • Using Smalltalk to experiment with the IndieWeb
  • Pipeable OS processes for Nikola
  • Demoing docker usage on the system
  • Created static Python script that can be used to generate a website
  • Outputs a folder ready for sharing to hosting platform
  • Next step is to hide commands behind buttons and a Smalltalk GUI
  • Spent a lot of the day evaluating libraries to use, many of which are years older and didn't work

  • Working on new portfolio web page
  • Did a lot of design experimentation
  • Created SVG profile image that appears on left side
  • Uses details/sumamry throughout to show more information
  • Lists several projects, and illustrations
  • Created a Skillz section (temporary name) with a list of programs she uses (logos that floats around)
  • Page has ideas that she really likes, but is going to explore the idea further

  • Working on fixing problems related to site reliability/availability
    • DevOps-related
    • Does this kind of maintenance every four years
  • Working to ensure site doesn't come down from AI scrapers
    • Would be nice if bots would be polite
  • Site will run faster now

  • Quick post about Create Day
    • https://tabitha.computer/2026/06/create-day/
    • Created sylLabel that counts syllabel for creative writing and originally it was used for helping to write haiku poetry (local storage, no tracking)
    • Migrated magic 8 ball to its own page so it can answer questions

  • Worked on /now page
  • Updated JUnited list with a list of blog posts she has read and enjoyed this month from the small web
  • Made a Zensical a few weeks ago, likes the layout, used for documentation generation, made by people who made mkdocs.
    • Has blog posts listed in Zensical, with automatic responsive table of contents
    • Everything works and much more refined than WordPress
    • Converted data from WordPress to markdown for use in testing different SSGs.
    • Search isn't as precise
    • Archive page is manually made with a Pyton script + Makefile on build
    • Felt like there was a lot of hacking involved
  • Discovered digital gardens, already uses digital gardens, wanted to learn how to interconnect notes and pages
    • Installed Quartz, a bit like Obsidian Publish but free and open source
    • Software is more catered for blogs, archive is under each section, tags are generated
    • What do we think? Better to use Quartz or blog or digital garden or a mix?
    • Quartz doesn't support figure/figcaption combination, even in HTML and markdown
    • Page shows graph view widget that shows how pages connect
