What opportunities, communities, grants, fellowships, hackathons, conferences, or resources have you come across recently that deserve more attention?
I am always looking for things to include in future editions, so feel free to share anything interesting you've found. If I feature one of your finds in a future edition, I'll always make sure to credit you.
If you discovered an opportunity through the radar, applied to something, joined a community, attended an event, or simply found something you hadn't seen before, I'd genuinely love to hear about that too. π A small update inspired by community feedback:
Thanks to @wrobeltomasz for the thoughtful suggestion on the last edition. I loved the idea of making it easier to quickly see which opportunities are remote and which are in person, so I've added that to this edition's Quick Scan.
I'll also continue looking for more remote opportunities to feature whenever I find good ones. Some weeks naturally lean more toward in-person programs, but I'll always try to keep a good mix.

That's actually something I've been trying to do with the series. I know not every opportunity will be the right fit for everyone, so I always try to include at least one resource that anyone can benefit from, whether they're actively applying or just looking to learn something new.

Wow, so many opportunities! I especially like "Learning how to learn" β I remember having such classes at the university, and I found them super interesting! It was especially helpful to learn different methods of learning and that it works differently for everyone β for one, noting down may work, for others, repeating out loud, and so on. Maybe I will enroll to refresh my knowledge π

I love that you actually had classes like this at university! I completely agree with what you said too. Learning how you learn best can make such a difference, especially when the same method doesn't necessarily work for everyone.
That's one of the things I really liked about this course as well. It made me think more about the way we approach learning itself, rather than just focusing on what we're trying to learn.

Hema, Edition #2 is where I found FR8. Applied the same day, got the confirmation email, then a rejection a few days later. Didn't get the residency, but it's part of why I'm in the Global AI Hackathon and the Africa Deep Tech Challenge this month instead of just reading about them. Wanted you to know the radar worked, even on the one that didn't land.

Here are two opportunities that I have found, that might be helpful for someone. Maybe, they can be added to the next Dev opportunity.

I took a closer look at both opportunities, and they definitely look worth sharing. I especially like that one is a hackathon with a pathway into early-career opportunities, while the other is a Summer 2027 Software Engineering internship, so they could be useful to students at slightly different stages.
I'd love to feature both in the Community Finds section of an upcoming Dev Opportunity Radar edition and, of course, I'll make sure to credit you for finding and sharing them.

Great edition this week! I remember completing the course Learning How to Learn years ago and it has always stuck with me. A very foundational and useful course for anyone to pick up! Definitely worth the time investment.

Great roundup! The OpenAI Student Collective is particularly interesting β campus-level AI communities are where a lot of real innovation happens, but they often lack the resources and structure to scale.
One thing I've noticed from working with AI tools is that structured programs like these create a compounding effect β students who build projects together in hack weeks (like MLH's Agents theme) end up forming teams that persist well beyond the event itself. The gap between learning AI tools and building production-grade AI applications is still massive, and programs that bridge it (like Develop for Good's 16-week format) are more valuable than most bootcamps.
For anyone interested in AI agent development specifically, I'd also recommend checking out some of the open-source agent frameworks that have matured significantly this year.
